Appraisal: read every manual page, check the item, then send the estimate
Use the manual for the exact item, inspect each feature, and read every page before submitting. The official image shows only hand-guide page 1/4: base 100, minimum 50 and material additions 0/50/200. Those entries alone do not produce a complete appraisal. Send Estimate is at the lower right.

Version, sources and testing limits
September–October Demo evidence; gallery build unknown; announced 1.0 kept separate. The official patch, community reports and our editorial checklists are identified separately. No current save or 1.0 build was tested. See the dated sources at the end; older UI operations and rates may change.

Find the three things you need on screen
- The correct manual, on the left. The title in the official image is Cybernetic Hand Appraisal Guide. Its footer is page 1/4: turn through the remaining pages in your own build before deciding you have all the rules.
- The item under the magnifier, on the right. Compare observed features with the manual’s examples. Do not silently enter zero for a feature you have not identified.
- The estimate field and Send Estimate below it. The displayed 100 is an input value, not proof of an accepted answer. A September player reports moving the magnifier window upward if the submission control is below the visible area. Official image Community UI report
What page 1 actually establishes
| Pictured Cybernetic Hand rule | Entry visible in this image |
|---|---|
| Starting value | 100 credits |
| Minimum value | 50 credits |
| Aluminum Alloy material | +0 |
| Carbon Composite material | +50 |
| Gold Plated material | +200 |
For a gold-plated hand, 100 + 200 = 300 is only the page-one subtotal. It is not a final appraisal of the pictured hand. Condition, interface, additions and set conditions can require other pages; do not invent them from the colour of one screenshot. These are entries in an official display image with an unidentified build, not a guaranteed current price table. Image evidence
Build a checkable estimate
Make one row per applicable rule while inspecting your item:
| Rule | Your observation | Manual adjustment | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Base / material | Actual item and identified material | Copy the current manual | Checked / uncertain |
| Condition | Observed damage, packaging or relevant state | Item-specific rule | Checked / uncertain |
| Interface / additions | Features you can actually identify | Each matching rule | Checked / uncertain |
| Set / special category | All required conditions, not one attractive feature | Apply only if complete | Checked / not applicable |
| Minimum / override | Applicable exception | Check separately from the sum | Checked / uncertain |
Then total the checked rows, apply the relevant minimum or override, enter the estimate and submit. Community players specifically warn that an absent interface can matter and set conditions are easy to miss. A Ribwich packaging exception is not a mechanical-hand damage rule, and neither should be exported to every product. September explanations
Wear is not the same condition as damage
Do not collapse different condition labels into one “damaged” deduction. In CthuLuck’s September 15 Demo video at 2:39:12, the Cybernetic Hand manual is open to page 2/4. It lists Wears and Damages separately. Match the inspected item to the relevant illustration in your own manual before choosing a row.
Condition — choose the matching label
None · +0
Wears · −35
Damages · −85
Control interface — inspect it separately
EMG · +0
EMG+ · +45
Neural Interface · +120
Unspecified · −60
Condition and interface are different checks: an unidentified interface is not automatically the +0 EMG row. A generic note saying “damaged” is too imprecise here: decide whether the manual’s Wears or Damages illustration matches. These partial manual entries are not a complete hand formula. Pages 3–4 and any applicable exceptions still matter, and an amount typed in the estimate field is not an accepted result. Inspected Demo manual
If the answer is rejected
Check observations first, then the signs/addition, then exceptions and all set requirements. Preserve the previous attempt so you can see what changed. Increasing a rejected number at random does not identify whether you missed a mark, applied the wrong item’s rule or made an arithmetic error. If the manual, item and feedback still conflict, keep all three with your build version for a useful help request. Conflicting player bug reports are not proof of a universal appraisal bug.
Watch a different manual being used
We inspected the public player’s frame around 2:01:32: it shows a Plasma Cartridge manual on page 5/7 beside the inspected object and estimate interface. It is a different item and manual, not a validation of the hand entries above; the visible input does not prove an accepted total. Use this to recognise the multi-page workflow rather than copy a number.

Appraisal information hidden behind a window?
The release hotfix 1.0.0.1 addresses information tooltips, including the Appraisal Certificate window, appearing behind windows on ultrawide and other non-16:9 fullscreen displays. Check your installed version before mistaking missing information for a manual rule. The fix does not validate a new item-value formula or change the scope of the older examples above.
